Day 46

Back and Biceps and ARX and I destroyed it. Pumped out some Hard earned reps upped weights and am feeling great about it.

Today was supposed to be plyo x. But I was so overwhelmed with studying for upcoming midterms that I didn't workout.

Diet is clean and results are their.

Day 43

Tried to get up early to do CST but I just couldn't do it. Got in my workout right after class so I can get to some studies right away. Chest shoulders and tri's was tough today. I'm exhausted which is good hopefully I'll be able to get to bed early tonight for an early morning.

Diet is clean I haven't gone shopping so I had to hit up Subway and got a foot long roast beef sandwich with a double portion of meat on wheat with pepper jack cheese. One half for lunch one half for dinner.

Plyo tomorrow like I said earlier I want to get it in early.

Day 38

Today was Back and Biceps. It was pretty fun, arx was tough but I definitely feel like I'm getting better as the program goes on. This will be pretty short today, as I'm pretty tired.

Diet, I missed dinner today so i have a Huge deficit, will have to fix that tomorrow, good thing I didn't run today I'd be way under.

Yoga X tomorrow... I wonder if I'll be as flexible as last time.

Day 37

Today was Plyo, I was tired and I felt like I hyper extended my knee at first so I took a break put some icyhot on it and got back into it an hour later. The break helped, I started doing much better ended up pushing my self hard throughout and was exhausted at the end.

The diet has been phenomenal today, I went over on Proteins(not really a bad thing) and had 154 calorie deficit of my projected totals.

Back & Bi's tomorrow + ARX. I'm looking forward to this one. My back is feeling much better today I think it just needed rest and some Ibuprofen. Well that's all for now...

Day 36

Day 36 was Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps, then ARX. Man it was tough today. I worked out really late tonight and I am dead tired. Weighted Circles are tough, most of the workout is hard but those stick out! I upped my weight on some exercises and reps on another.

Diet is clean, went over on fats had the rest of my Valentine's rib eye. Calories were close but I need to eat a little more balanced. Tomorrow is Plyo and I'm gonna be jumping through the roof!

Also, My lower left back is sore and really hurts I put some icy hot on it we'll see what it feels like in the morning.

Days 33, 34, and 35

So today's post is going to cover 3 days.

To the my disappointment, I missed workouts on Friday and Saturday. I'm upset at myself but just didn't make time in my day to workout. I kept my diet clean and actually at 1 less snack and meal ( partly because of lack of time and partly because I missed my workouts ) so I still had an ok amount of calories.

Day 35, I ate my regular breakfast and then did Stretch X. Being Valentines day I strayed from the diet somewhat, not keeping my ratios but still eating "clean" My girlfriend cooked me a 12 oz Ribeye, Sauteed Onions with Cilantro,Pan grilled Asparagus and Bell Peppers, and 2 hollowed out tomatoes with 1/4th an avocado and 1/8th a cup of cottage cheese mixed stuffed in it. I also had a few glasses pinot noir.

I'm gonna be back on track today( Haven't worked out yet am in class but diet's good) and will post my blog for today later if I have time, if not expect an update tomorrow.

Yoga today, destroyed it! I was like gumby flexible as ever! I enjoyed stretching out and yoga belly was like nothing!

Diet's clean, and I had a snow day today, classes are canceled so my weekend starts today.

Day 31

Back and Biceps, fun routine. My arms are dead after this one. I know I'm going to hurt tomorrow from this. I'm noticing how much faster paced the phase 2 workouts are, and the fatigue during them really starts to take a toll. By the end I was exhausted and doing way less weight than the beginning.

Diet was clean today, didn't get enough calories but that's ok I'll get them all in once I get everything figured out.

Yoga X tomorrow and I can only think that it's going to be terribly difficult from how sore I will be.

Day 30

So today I did Plyo and I destroyed it! I was keeping up with Dominique in the back and took no prisoners. I'm glad to see the progress I've made in this routine. Jump Knee Tucks what, I killed this workout and I'm very excited.

Diet is Clean Eating healthy and staying strong!

Time for some bad news, I need to motivate myself to start my marathon Training! I keep putting it off because I've been studying till about 12 A.M. every night this week so far for a big test on Friday. I really am going to try and finish my workout early tomorrow so I can get in 3 miles, which if you couldn't tell I did not do today as I said I would.

Well it's up to me to get better so I'm going to do what I can.

Back and Biceps tomorrow, excellent routine, can't wait to polish the guns!

Day 29

So yesterday I said today was Back and Biceps, but in actuality it was Chest Shoulders and Triceps. Fun workout, I forgot how hard the first workout after the recovery week was. There were some intense moves in this workout, I did my best and am looking forward to increasing my numbers next time.

Diet's clean changed it up a bit to get more carbs, going to have to add another fruit in their next time but today is ok. Tomorrow I will be running 3 miles along with plyometrics!

Day 27

Today was core. This workout is tough and I like it.

Diet is clean, getting ready for next phase trying to plan meals out and such.

Day 26

Day 26, what can I say... today was another non-workout day. I really feel like I need to workout but I was not at my house and didn't get back until late, I also woke up super late and didn't eat until about 3 PM. So I decided it wasn't a good day to workout because I wouldn't be able to get enough calories in for the day to be healthy if I worked out. I did get to GNC though and got a good haul>

Day 25

Day 25 was supposed to be X stretch. I opted out of it this time even though you're not technically supposed to. It's not a workout to burn many calories, so that isn't much of a problem for missing it that day. I ended up having 2 eggs for dinner because I was at a friends house and didn't want to have anything unhealthy, The fat in the eggs was still ok for my diet.

Day 26 is supposed to be core and I don't think I'll be able to do it tomorrow as I'm not at my house and wont be for a while.

Day 24

So today was kenpo x... again. This routine although quick has become as much of a workout as a light jog. I had to up the intensity to get my heart rate up. I did it again with my 3lb weighted gloves, and added 5lb ankle weights. Adding all the weight really helped, I was legitimately tired from Kenpo X afterward.

My diet's been clean, I'm low on protein powder so I haven't been having my shakes in the day.

Day 23

Today was Core Synergistics, this workout is tough. I was engaging my core throughout the whole workout making sure I got in a good workout. I didn't realize how much of a workout this routine was but by the end I was soaked from head to toe.

Diet is clean today, I've decided to start my marathon training next week so I'm going to keep my diet the same till then, next week we start consuming more carbs and a little less proteins.

I can't say how much I'm ready for this week to be over so I can start the phase 2 workouts, I'm looking forward to getting the pump back on again. Well I'm out of here.

Day 22

Today was the first day of the recovery week! Yoga X, it feels good to stretch out; and the length of the video didn't bother me so much because I did what Tony tells you to do and cleared my mind. After doing that I breezed through yoga, I feel much more flexible than when I started on Day 1.

Diet is clean but I'm debating whether or not to add extra carbs early for the Marathon Training I'm going to be doing. Tomorrow is... well I'm not sure exactly what tomorrow is off the top of my head but I think it's Core Synergistics. Anyway I'm out of here

Day 21

Day 21, Kenp X again. Kenpo is still one of the easier workouts so I went out and got some weighted gloves today. They did help for the beginning of the workouts but as it progressed I felt like they weren't as beneficial, but who knows.

Diet is finally back on track clean and getting lots of calories.

Bring on the recovery week because I'm ready to go. yoga tomorrow which is so long that it will suck. Until the next time...

Day 20 was Legs and Back and ARX and I was reluctant to do it. I really didn't want to do legs and back but I did anyway. I know that I said, "I was looking forward to it" but, working out on the weekends is just much harder for me than during the week. But i got it done and I feel

Day 18

Yoga done today, I hate this workout really. It's entirely too long, the same thing for one and a half ours is terrible. I did do pushups throughout again and am getting better at balance postures, so I'm doing better but still hate this workout.

Diet is clean, I ran out of food pretty much have to go to Kroger tonight so I can make dinner and then will go to Sam's Club tomorrow for a restocking.

Day 17

So p90x Day 17 was today. It was shoulders and Arms and ARX, which I killed. Increased weight and reps once again on most exercises. The one I didn't increase reps on was Chairdips and I added the leg raise instead, next go around I'm going to do the 2 chair approach.

Diet is good, ran out of dinner proteins and looks like I'll be out of my lunch proteins for tomorrow as well, time for another trip to Sam's Club. On another note I'm ready to start consuming more carbs.

Yoga tomorrow, I really don't enjoy yoga and I know my arms will be killing me, it's gonna be a challenge for sure.

I'm about to sign up for a half marathon for April 11th Hopefully EB will be here too, I know my other friends doing p90x have already signed up.

Day 16

Last plyometrics before the recovery week finished! After that I'm extremely tired. I felt like I was starting to bonk on the first 2 sets, but I decided to dig deep and pushed my body to the limits the rest of the way, keeping up with "dom" on the jump knee tucks and doing the advanced versions on all of the other exercises.

Diet is clean, didn't have time for my usual string cheese, yogurt, and tuna snack combo because of class so I substituted a Protein bar instead.

5 More days until the Recovery Week, "El Camino A Sexiness" is getting shorter and I'm becoming more motivated every day, Until the next time... Bring it.

Day 15

Absolutely destroyed Chest and Back today, it's sad to think I only do this workout 2 more times in the whole 90 days. My arms are toast right now I really worked them. On the back exercises that used weights I maxed out my Select Techs, doing 52.5 Lbs on all but one set of back flys in which I did 45 Lbs.

My diet's been clean today and I've been keeping on schedule.

Day 14

So instead of being my day of rest today was yoga X due to me modifying the schedule a bit and taking my rest day on Thursday. Yoga felt good today, I did pushups every time and was drenched well before the end of the workout. I was glad to do yoga and stretch out some today and am excited to start my third week. Going to do 2 week measurements I think and get them recorded even though the only starting measurement I have is height and weight. Anyway diets good today, and I'm extremely motivated to keep going right now. I started posting on the beachbody forums another group of people started on the same day and I figure I'll also use them as extra motivation to get through this. Day 13

Kenpo X was a breeze today, Instead of sticking with the program I started when they did and finished after they did, busting out as many reps as possible to get in the most work, I was getting my heart rate up to 190 at some points floating mostly around 160-180 most of the time. Diet has been spot on today and figure out what I was going to do for my second snack from now on.

1 5oz Can of Tuna in water, 2 Fat 1 Carb 22 Protein
1 6oz Container Yoplait Light (Harvest Peach/Blueberry/Strawberry), 0 Fat 19 Carbs 5 Protein
and
1 1oz Frigo Cheeseheads Light String Cheese, 3 Fat 1 Carb 8 Protein.
Totaling it all at 5 Fat, 21 Carbs, and 35 Proteins.

Day 12 Legs and Back

So this round of Legs and Back I was on a mission. I increased reps and intensity on the whole workout, I'll definitely feel it in Kenpo X on Day 13. On a side note my friend Ben came up so my schedule will be messed up somewhat this weekend. However I will be keeping the diet under control.

So it may look like I have lots of Snacks today but my 4th mealk actually consisted of 5 of the snacks on myfitnesspal, anyway check it here.

Day 11 Yoga... Day of rest.

So day 11 was supposed to be yoga x, however I got home late from class and was feeling a little sick so I decided to move yoga x to Sunday, and take my day of rest for day 11. I've stuck well to the diet today and since I wasn't working out I had a small calorie deficit.

Day 10

Today was round 2 of Shoulders and Arms. Last time I did this I was at Eric's place and didn't have my weights, but this round was a different story. This workout is definitely my favorite. I crushed my numbers from last time going up to 35Lbs with weight on some exercises where as last time the maximum weight we had was 25Lbs. I have to say the first time I did P90X I liked the triceps exercises the most, but this time around I like the shoulder ones much better.

Days 8 and 9

Day 8, Chest and Back round 2. The last time I did this workout I felt sick and tired half way through, but this time I destroyed it. I increased reps and weight on every exercise and flew through the ab ripper. I kept to my diet but did skip my last meal of the day.

Day 9, Plyometrics today was easy. I had energy the whole time one thing I started doing with my workouts is drink a 0 Calorie Powerade throughout the workout along with my usual water. My diet today was pretty good, however I'm having a hard time finding a good 2nd snack other than protein bars. Other than that I'm doing good and feeling good. Day 6 and 7 Kenpo & Rest

So day 6 took the rest slot for this week. I woke up late that day and decided it would be my rest day instead of Sunday. I did keep with the diet and did very well on my ratios that day.

Today, day 7 Kenpo X! Kenpo is one of the funner work outs but it doesn't feel like much of a workout. However after doing it today I have changed my mind, I was thinking of finding another cardio routine to take place of Kenpo but actually doing it showed me how much work it was and how much better I felt afterward was also a plus. I'll be sticking with Kenpo throughout the program. Today I'll be over a bit on my fats because I have a steak in my fridge that needs to be cooked. Anyway Chest and Back to crush tomorrow then the University starts back up Tuesday so I'll be fitting my workouts around class. Until the next time, Keep pressing play.

Days 4 and 5, Yoga and Legs & Back

My router has been acting up lately but we did a firmware upgrade on it today so hopefully I'll actually be able to post this blog.

Day 4 was one of the toughest times I've had doing any of the P90X workouts. The workout was so challenging because of how weak my legs and arms are from the previous workouts this week. After doing the whole workout I felt much better and very energized and of course more calm of mind too. It seemed to really help my 3 hour drive that I went on directly after to go home.

Day 5 was a different story, I finally made my way to Sam's Club and did some shopping. I now have the foods I need to meet my caloric needs and nail the proteins, carbs, and fats ratios. Legs and Back was tough because I was weak once again from previous workouts. I pushed it to the limit and then ripped open ARX. Haven't been able to input my diet into myfitnesspal, but I've been keeping myself in line. Will bring you my Kenpo blog later today. and I'll have my diet input into myfitnesspal for everyone to see. Until the next time I'm out, keep pushing Play.

Day 3 - Shoulders and Arms

Traveled to College Station Last Night for Eric's( http://ericblem.blogspot.com ) birthday. Eric, his roommate JJ, and I did shoulders and arms.

This workout to me is one of the easier resistance workouts. Shoulders and Arms to me is one of the funnest workouts. It allows me to push myself to the limit and feel like I worked out that day without being completely dead after. I see myself increasing my weight and lowering reps on this exercise when I get home to use my Bowflex Selectechs.

We also went shopping at Sam's club and picked up a bunch of good food for p90x today.

Day 2 - Plyometric Paralysis

After this workout my legs are like putty. Traveling up and down my stairs to mix my recovery drink was torture after the brutal workout my legs went through. I firmly believe that Plyometrics is the hardest workout in all of P90X.

Today for breakfast once again I had 1 cup of Oatmeal with a scoop of whey isolate 28, this time I didn't add peanut butter because I was out, will be going to the store soon to stock up.

After my workout I had my Results and Recovery Formula.

Then I had a 12 oz coffee from Starbucks with a tablespoon of half and half and 2 packets of 0 calorie sweetener.

For my final meal I had a Subway Salad with a Double portion of chicken and golden Italian dressing.

I haven't gotten Myfitnesspal set up completely yet but I will soon and when I do I'll update my caloric intake and ratios of proteins, carbs and fats.

P90X day 1 down.

Today marked the start of a 90 day journey. I'm going to bring this blog to you in three sections.
1. What is P90X?
2. My diet for the day.
3. My workout for the day.

1. To those of you who don't know P90X is an intense 90 day fitness program. The workouts paired with the diet are aimed at giving you a full body transformation.

2. At this stage in p90x my goals are 50% Proteins, 30% Carbs, and 20% Fats. For breakfast I had 1 cup of Oatmeal, 2 tablespoons of reduced fat creamy peanut butter, and 1 scoop of whey isolate 28. After my workout I had the P90X results and recovery formula. That's all I've had so far today. Will update the rest in my next blog.

3. Today was Chest and Back and ARX. A rigorous upper body workout filled with push ups and pull ups. It was difficult for me to get through it all as I haven't worked out in a while.
